  1. Co-Chairs (or Chair and Co-Chair)
    1. Leads and facilitates meetings.
    2. In collaboration with the Correspondence Coordinator, ensures (creates, delegates, or shares responsibility for) that an agenda guides each meeting. Agendas should be distributed to the leadership team members no less than 24 hours in advance of meetings.
    3. Leads and facilitates FPSCC events.
    4. Interfaces with other career community leaders.
    5. Represents the FPSCC within the VCU community.
    6. Attends University Council meetings and Staff Senate (as appropriate).
    7. Delegates duties and responsibilities of the leadership team.
    8. Performs such other duties as ordinarily pertain to this office.
    9. Trains the incoming chairs (chair and co-chair).

  2. Correspondence Coordinator
    1. Creates meeting agendas in collaboration with the co-chairs. Distributes agendas to the leadership team no less than 24 hours in advance.
    2. Records the minutes of and team attendance at all meetings.
    3. Schedules regular monthly meetings. Maintains the adopted community guidelines and procedures, tracks the process and outcome of changes to the guidelines. Keeps a file of the leadership team’s boards records.
    4. Maintains a current roster of membership and tracks interest in membership from VCU employees who are not within the job family.
    5. Is trained in and responsible for roster management of career community events in Talent@VCU.
    6. Conducts the general correspondence of the career community.
    7. Manages space reservations for meetings and events. Manages all electronic communication and the online content for the leadership board.
    8. Trains the incoming Correspondence Coordinator.

  3. Financial Coordinator
    1. Prepares budget in consultation with members of the FPSCC leadership board prior to the fiscal year.
    2. Presents budget to membership for approval annually.
    3. Establishes and maintains the FPSCC account.
    4. Responsible for monies and accounting accuracy in partnership with the Career Development Program Manager.
    5. Maintains an accurate record of expenditures and commitments.
    6. Abides by University Policy regarding fiscal management.
    7. Trains the incoming Financial Coordinator.

  4. Mentoring Chair (standing committee)
    1. Supports the professional growth of the FPSCC membership by facilitating relationships between individual members as mentors and mentees.
    2. Manages the ‘groups’ page on the mentoring software platform.
    3. Works collaboratively with the mentoring program’s administrator.
    4. Oversees designated committee.
    5. Schedules, engages and leads regular meetings with committee members.
    6. Reports committee update to FPSCC leadership team and FPSCC members.
    7. Trains the incoming committee leads.
  5. Learning Committee Chair (standing committee)
    1. Works to meet the educational needs of the FPSCC and is responsible for planning relevant career development workshops and events.
    2. Oversees designated committee.
    3. Schedules, engages and leads regular meetings with committee members.
    4. Reports committee update to FPSCC leadership team and FPSCC members.
    5. Trains the incoming committee leads.

  6. Connecting Committee Chair (standing committee) 
    1. Provides opportunities for FPSCC members to socialize and advocate for collaboration, while fostering interdepartmental relationships and coordinating networking events.
    2. Oversees designated committee.
    3. Schedules, engages and leads regular meetings with committee members.
    4. Reports committee update to FPSCC leadership team and FPSCC members.
    5. Trains the incoming committee chair.

  7. Career Community Supporters (Liaison/Sponsor/Partner)
    1. Liaison
      1. FPSCC’s Co-Chairs may appoint liaisons to help build connections between FPSCC and senior leadership teams. The goal of these liaisons will be to work with the Co-Chairs to foster relationships and facilitate communication with leaders to support FPSCC’S functionality and efficacy (e.g. access to resources, funding, and opportunities). A liaison may or may not be an FPSCC member.
    2. Sponsor
      1. FPSCC’s Co-Chairs may appoint sponsors who serve on senior leadership teams within the career communities.  The goal of the sponsors to support the community, serve as advocates and provide guidance as senior team members. A liaison may or may not be an FPSCC member.
    3. HR Career Community Partner
      1. This role is identified by VCU Human Resources to serve as the liaison between the career community and HR/Career Development.  They will be primary contact for all of the career community guidelines and protocols
